Nickel oxide (Ni2O3). Colourant used to produce subdued blue, gray, green, brown, and yellow and to modify other colors (e.g. mute cobalt blues). In high Magnesium glazes, acid green may develop. In high Barium glazes, pink to purple. Ni2O3 decomposes to NiO at 600C.
